One dated brief

One finished period, one learning the evidence supports, and one test with a way to judge it.

How Social Post Report actually works

Most small businesses that post regularly have never read their own numbers back. The figures sit there in Instagram or Facebook, but a scroll through last month’s reach tells you nothing you can act on, and the honest answer to “is any of this working?” ends up being a shrug. This employee owns that question for one period at a time.

  1. Choose this reporting windowOne completed period and one exact evidence set, pinned before it starts, so a retry cannot quietly produce a second brief about the same numbers.
  2. Read the post resultsOnly the accounts, report or saved Source you selected, plus the goal you confirmed. Captions and uploaded text are read as evidence, never as instructions.
  3. Compare like with likeOnly measures with the same definition, unit and period get compared. A missing or failed value stays missing rather than quietly becoming a zero.
  4. Find the strongest learningOne supported pattern, outlier or gap — with the sample size and the attribution limit stated next to it, not buried underneath it.
  5. Choose one next testOne small content test, and the exact measure you would judge it by when the next window closes.
  6. Save the briefDated, in Results: the period checked, the accounts or reports used, how current they were, the posts compared, what the evidence supports and what it cannot.

The brief that lands is deliberately short. One learning, not nine. One test, not a content strategy. The point of a small test with a stated measure is that the next window can settle it either way — which is what turns a feed into something you can actually steer.

What it will not do

The Control you set decides how much any employee does on its own. This one is unusual: all four settings end in the same place, because none of them gives it an outward action. It can prepare the brief as a draft, save the brief and the proposed test for you to read, work to the schedule you set, or simply check and report — and in every case the only thing it produces is a brief in Results. Every employee lands paused, and you choose which accounts it can use.

Who it’s for

Anyone already posting and never looking at what happened next — which, in practice, is most owner-run firms whose next job comes off a local feed. Portrait photographers get one real run at it a year: August is the biggest UK wedding month at 32,121, January is 5,878, and a five-and-a-half-fold swing means the posts that work need to be known before the season rather than picked over after it. Landscaping runs March to October and domestic cleaning bunches into June to August on end-of-tenancy work, so both spend the busy months posting and the quiet months guessing. Salons and beauty rooms are the sharpest case of all: on Fresha, Treatwell or Booksy they already hand 20 to 40 per cent of a booking to a marketplace, which makes their own feed the cheapest booking route they have and the one most worth measuring properly. Motor repair sits on the same shape: busiest at the March and September plate changes, quietest on the feed at exactly the same time.

It suits the export route as much as the connected one, so a one-van business that has never connected anything can still hand over a downloaded report and get the same brief. See the rest of the roster on the employees page.

Questions people ask

What do I have to give it?

One finished period of post results. Either a Facebook Page or Instagram account you have already connected, or one export you upload and save as a Source. If nothing usable is supplied it asks for that exact file and stops, rather than filling the gap with a guess.

Does it work with TikTok or Google Analytics?

Both are named in its brief, and neither connection is live on LoopSuite yet, so for now that evidence has to arrive as an export you upload. TikTok and Google Analytics each carry the current position on their own page.

Will it tell me a post made me money?

Only where the evidence actually supports it, and organic post metrics on their own do not. It keeps reach and engagement separate from measured website outcomes, and states plainly what it cannot attribute. A report that claims a sale it cannot trace is worse than no report. For what happens once someone reaches your site, that is Website Improvement Analyst.

How often does it run?

Manually, weekly or monthly. Weekly on a Monday morning is what it arrives set to. Each finished window produces at most one brief, so a retry resumes the same piece of work instead of filing a second copy of it.

What happens when the numbers don’t line up?

It says so and stops, rather than inventing a trend. Metrics with different definitions, units or periods are not compared, a sample too small for the conclusion is called out, and a read that failed is never recorded as a zero. It then asks you for the matching period.

How is this different from Social Post Publisher?

Social Post Publisher writes posts and publishes them. This one only reads. They are separate hires with separate permissions, and the test this one recommends is a suggestion for you or your publisher to run — it never runs it itself. Paid campaigns are a third job again, and belong to Paid Ads Manager.
