Quote follow-up guide

Follow up a trade quote without sounding pushy.

A good follow-up helps the customer decide. It confirms the quote is still relevant, offers one useful next step and stops when the customer replies or the situation changes.

First check

Make sure the quote is still genuinely open.

  • Check the quote date and validity
  • Read the latest customer reply
  • Check whether the work was already accepted or declined
  • Respect any requested wait time
  • Use the same conversation where possible

Editable example

A useful follow-up

Hi [name], just checking whether you had everything you need for quote [reference]. I’m happy to answer any questions or adjust the scope if something has changed. If you would like to go ahead, the next available step is [truthful next step]. Thanks, [business].

Stop rules

Do not keep chasing a closed decision.

Stop when the customer replies, accepts, declines, asks for more time, or the quote is no longer valid. A sequence should never outrank the real conversation.

Where LoopSuite fits

Quote Chaser checks first, then prepares the next message.

The employee keeps the status check, draft, approval and later receipt connected to the original quote Result.
